HOMAGE TO FIELD MARSHAL SAM HORMUSJI FRAMJI JAMSHEDJI MANEKSHAW

We would like to extend our deepest respect and condolences to the family
of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and the people of the
Republic of India.

Sam Manekshaw was not only the first general in the Indian army to be
elevated to the rank of field marshal but he was also the greatest that
your country has ever produced. We the Freedom Fighters (Mukti Joddhas)
of
Bangladesh and supporters of the Liberation War are truly indebted to
the great military leadership provided by this remarkable man of
extraordinary bravery and historical insight. Many popular revolutions
have failed, but the people's liberation movement in
Bangladesh succeeded
in large measure because of steadfast belief and valor of the freedom
fighters and their allies.

The memory of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw will never die, as long as the
spirit of freedom exists in
Bangladesh and all-over the world.

May God comfort his soul now and always.

With deep respect to his departed soul.

Freedom fighters of Bangladesh and their supporters in the US and all over
the world
